The Nozzle Size on Your Pressure Washer Matters!

Importance of Nozzles During Pressure Washing

Choosing the wrong nozzle or spray tip for your pressure cleaning work may result in many problems and potentially costly losses. Concrete damage scars are common, including improper use of the tip and damaged window seals. Damaged wood or composite decks, brick walls, or mortar perforations on lanes. The invasion of high-pressure water can also lead to problems with toxic bacteria and fungi.

Different pressure washer nozzles are required for different kinds of works. The more you restrict the flow of the water, the more you increase the velocity.

Types of Pressure Washer Nozzles

Pressure washers come with 3-4 color coded nozzle tips,or a convenient dial-type-multi-spray pattern nozzle. You should use a pin to clear the pressure washer spray nozzle before each use.

  • 0°(red):also known as a zero degree nozzle, providing very high pressure and low flow, suitable for removing stubborn stains and hard to reach areas, only suitable for hard surfaces.
  • 15°(yellow):Provides high pressure and moderate flow, suitable for cleaning hard surfaces, heavy dirt, mold, rust stains, and removing paint, but not suitable for delicate surfaces.
  • 25°(green):Provides moderate pressure and flow, suitable for cleaning wall panels, brick walls, wood, lanes, etc.
  • 40°(white):Provides low pressure and high flow, suitable for gentle cleaning of cars, boats, patio furniture, etc.
  • 65°(black): also known as soap nozzle, used for applying soap or cleaning agents, suitable for various surfaces.
  • Rotary Nozzles: Rotary nozzles are also known as turbo nozzles. They work by using a spinning nozzle to create a concentrated and rotating stream of high-pressure water. This rotating action increases the cleaning power and impact of the water jet.
Choosing the right nozzle for your pressure washer not only boosts your cleaning efficiency but also protects your surfaces from damage. Equip yourself with the knowledge of nozzle types and elevate your cleaning game today!
